De software ontwikkelaar ontwerpt, bouwt en implementeert software. Daarnaast onderhoudt hij reeds ontwikkelde software. Hij staat in direct contact met de klant waarvoor de software ontwikkeld wordt. Het klantcontact bestaat uit het in samenwerking met klant komen tot ontwerpen, het testen van ontwikkelde software en het in produtcie nemen. Naast klantcontact is er contact met externe programmeurs, zij dienen te worden aangestuurd en te worden gecontroleerd. De werkzaamheden vinden zowel op kantoorlokaties van Cu4IS , bij een klant en op andere externe locaties plaats.
