The software developer designs, builds and implements software. Aside
from that he will be maintaining previously developed software. He will
be in direct contact with the customer the software is being made for.
The customer contact consist of collaborating with the customer to
create a design for the product that needs to be build, testing the
software and implementing the desired product. Besides customer contact
there is also the contact with external software developers, they need
to be directed and informed about the customers needs for the desired
product. Work will take place in the offices of Cu4IT as well as at the
customers and external locations.
The design process of software based on customer conversations
The software developer is responsible for the creation of a good quality design with which the software can be developed. He will prove his responsibility by taking the leading role in the interviews conducted with the customers and adapting the wishes with the designs. Activities he will have to do include: joining in conversations with the customers, making a functional and technical design, creating prototypes, verifying designs with customers, deliberating with the other developers about the designs and controlling this process.
The development of software
The software developer is responsible for the creation of a good quality software product. He will prove this responsibility by taking the leading and/or executing role during development. This development can be accomplished in two ways, developing the software by yourself or directing and informing (external) programmers. Quality control takes place by involving the costumers in the whole development process on a regular basis. Activities that he will be doing: programming based on the design, ordering programmers, guiding the customers during the testing of the prototypes, keeping the design in line with the software, creating user manuals, the development of management procedures and the installing of software updates.
Secondment
Providing services to customers at their office or location, to the clients wishes. The services that will be provided will be in line with the tasks mentioned above.
This function has the following secondary conditions of employment:
Compensation for the travel costs you make when travelling to work;
Company vehicle (when available) and allowance per kilometre covered for every work related drive when using own means of transportation;
The use of business mobile phone, when phone bills are above €70,-, everything above €70,- is for your own account.
Skills
* Practical experience with Microsoft .NET Framework.
* Practical experience with the development of web applications.
* Autodidact with relation to the most recent technical developments.
Plus points would be:
* Practical experience with SharePoint, IIS and/or SQL.
* Practical experience with the total development process .
