He will be in direct contact with the customer the software is being made for. The customer contact consist of collaborating with the customer to create a design for the product that needs to be build, testing the software and implementing the desired product. Besides customer contact there is also the contact with external software developers, they need to be directed and informed about the customers needs for the desired product.
